History of the Despots
At the very beginning there was made a section of members-friends of FC SARTID had about 100 faithful supporters of blue-whites which started to go with the club on all away games.
At these days group was small but they are make a big noise and they are always give big support to club. The boys are making name of crew "DESPOTI" like a result of history of City and most courageous warriors. Day by day, week-by-week, game-by-game DESPOTI start to be popular in city and crew made more members...more and more.... That was reason for made a few little sections of Despots. The sections was mostly made of boys from the parts of the city -PAPAZOVAC, CARINA, FONTANA, OLD CITY, LESTAR...
"DESPOTS" starting to support FC SARTID on all games, away and home. When club play game on away, Despots always make a convoy of buses... During the travel they are made jokes, drinking a beer, singing songs... Most interesting games is between FC SARTID and Radnicki from Kragujevac city.
A game between FC SARTID and Radnicki are second derby in Serbia (first is Red Star-Partizan). The game is "high risk game" because clash between Despots and Devils finished with a lot injures crewmembers. The opponent group, supporters of FC Radnicki, always loses "game on the terrace".
An organization of supporters was better and better. They are making trasparents, flags, create new songs... But when FC SARTID play game at home, supporters start to gathering before the match - mostly in center of city- that's where they have gathered, made jokes, tanked up and training their voices before the game. When going to the stadium, the leaders stood in front and walked before the others. If they, by chance, met opponent group, clash was inevitable and the opponents always lose their and other marks. When the construction of stadium was finished, the most fanatic supporters have moved to the central part of the South side of stadium.
At these days FC Sartid already became club playing in first Serbian division. Today Despots are one of must popular group in Serbia. In this days we have more sections of Despots: Alco Boys, Death Row, Lestar Hill, Papazovac Crew, Carina, Fontana, Blue Hell, Blue Chaos, Lions - 97 Serbia, Net Hool Crew, SS-4ce, etc... and organize groups of fans all over the Serbia and Europe.

FC Sartid renamed to FC Smederevo
Since 07.07.2004. FC Sartid don't exist anymore. The club officials are decided to renamed club to FC Smederevo, the name of town.

FC Sartid (FC Smederevo) in Europe
Season 2005/06
5th time in a row in some European competition, 3rd time in Intertoto Cup, opponent Pobeda Prilep from Macedonia, and defeat 0:1 in Castle ground (4000 spectators), rematch in Skopje and one more defeat 2:1 (50 Smederevo supporters), eliminate FC Smederevo from Interototo Cup.
Season 2004/05
2004, now Intertoto Cup, first match against Sant Julia in Andorra, and 8:0 victory, rematch 3:0 for FC Sartid in from of just 2000 home supporters.
Intertoto Cup second round and opponent is Dinamo Minsk from Byelorussia. After 2:1 victory in Minks, FC Sartid already look to be in next round, but in "Castle ground", 6000 home supporters and defeat 2:1, 3:1 after extra time. In last game with old club name.
Season 2003/04
Once again, FC Sartid play in UEFA Cup qualifications, first opponent is from Bosnia & Herzegovina, FC Sarajevo. In hell atmosphere in Sarajevo (30.000 home supporters) there was a group of 100 Despots, in pitch 1:1. In rematch 12.000 Sartid supporters and easy 3:0 victory for Smederevo's boys.
Next round, and SK Slavia Praha, Czech rep. team, have won in both games by 2:1, in Prague only 4.000 spectators in Smederevo just 9.000, not attractive opponents for both sides.
Season 2002/03
Year 2002. FC Sartid play now in UEFA Cup. First opponent is Bangor City from Wales, 20 FC Sartid supporters in Wrexam and defeat 0:1 against Wales's amateurs. 14 days later, 10.000 spectators in Smederevo, 2:0 victory, just enough for first round.
In first round of the UEFA Cup, opponent is Ipswich Town from England, 1:1 in Ipswich gave a chance to Smederevo Iron's in rematch, but unlucky defeat 0:1 in front of 16.500 supporters eliminated FC Sartid from Europe once again.
Season 2001/02
FC Sartid played in Intertoto Cup 2001. First opponent was Dundee FC from Scotland, after goalless match in Dundee, Smederevo's boys won by 5:2 in rematch in "Castle ground". There were 15 FC Sartid's supporters in Scotland, and for about 15.000 in Smederevo.
Second opponent came from Germany, Munich 1860, after 3:1 in Augsburg for Germans and 500 FC Sartid supporters, in rematch was 3:2 for Munich in front of 20.000 spectators.
